Seçil Karal-Akgün: Professor of History

Prof. Seçil Karal-Akgün's areas of interest cover the Late Ottoman and Contemporary Turkish History. Prof. Akgün has received her BA and PhD degrees from the Ankara University. Prof. Akgün is teaching on late Ottoman history as well as historiography and approaches to the interpretion of history. Prof. Karal- Akgün who had served in the same post previously, is the head of the METU Department of History since July 2001.
